FUCKING GOOD TALENT
Fucking Good Talent is a a talent show taking place in the western suburbs of Milan, focused on the idea of rethinking the future of this area by investing in participants’ abilities to create social cooperation.
We launched an open call to participate in the talent show. With the following questions we opened the castings:
-How many talents do you have?
-Do you have a dream you want to come true?
-Are you ready to get involved for the making of your future?
Girls and boys from the neighbourhoods of Quarto Cagnino, Baggio, Quinto Romano, San Siro, Quarto Oggiaro, Giambellino reacted to the open call and applied as dancers, singers, cooks, beauticians, ice cream makers, masseurs, graphic designers, inventors, gamers, makers, computer scientists.
Twelve people have been selected to take part in the talent show. We made them work in teams with different talents, we challenged them to carry out a project that came from a collective work and that could eventually be realized with a sustainability.
During the first phase, short videos have been shot on the individual talent of each participant. During the second phase three teams were formed, each followed by a mentor, aimed at creating a collective project useful for the local area. Experts evaluated the proposed projects and addressed the participants from the point of view of production and innovation.
The talent show implies three episodes which took place in the public space of Cenni di Cambiamento.
The prize pool amounts to € 5,000 which was equally shared by the two winner projects: QUCCI and Megafonina.
